This year marks the 40th anniversary of the retro video game company known as SNK. To commemorate this occasion the company is compiling some of its classic titles together into a budge for the Nintendo Switch.
During PAX East 2018 the company, SNK, announced the 40th anniversary collection, a collection of games from the companies “golden days” which is set to launch later this year.
The SNK 40th Anniversary Bundle is being worked on with Digital Eclipse (the company behind the Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection). The bundle will feature more than a dozen + games from SNK. The list of titles that have been announced so far is listed below.
- Alpha Mission (console/arcade)
- Athena (console/arcade)
- Crystalis (console)
- Ikari Warriors (console/arcade)
- Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road (console/arcade)
- Ikari Warriors III: The Rescue (console/arcade)
- Guerrilla War (console/arcade)
- POW (console/arcade)
- Prehistoric Isle (arcade)
- Psycho Soldier (arcade)
- Street Smart (arcade)
- TNK III (console/arcade)
- Vanguard (arcade)
Like other retro game compilations, this collection will include some useful features including save states, rewind functionality, updated control schemes and more. Additionally, SNK stated that its also planning to introduce other games into the collection as a free post-launch update.
