BAFTA Video Game Nominations Announced

Rocket League

The British Academy Of Film And Television Arts or (BAFTA) has announced their nominations for the 2016 BAFTA awards. If you have never heard of BAFTA think of it as the Oscars for videos games but more British. The awards will be announced on April 7th and will be live streamed on the BAFTA website.

Its important to note a couple things about the list below, there are very few MMORPGs on the list as these awards typically avoid adding them to their list. That being said we do have a couple of them on the list most notably League Of Legends and while it is a MOBA and not an MMORPG in the traditional sense (because someone will comment on this) it does normally get thrown into the MMO crowd during these types of awards.

Below are some of the notable nominees for various categories.

Congratulations to all the nominations! It looks like Rocket League is set up to steal the show this year, and we really can’t argue with that! The game has stolen our hearts. We’ll be cheering you on from home on April 7th.

Personal Opinion

This is a very strong pick for everything but the game of the year. There are also not many MMORPGS on the game list and the closest we get is League Of Legends, and SMITE which is a disappointment in my opinion.

That being said all of the nominee were amazing picks and these are some of the most talked about games of the year congratulations to all of the nominees and we will be watching to see who wins the titles come April 7th.

Do you see any games that you think shouldn’t be on the list? Tell us why or why not in the comments below!
