Guild Wars 2 PvP and WvW Skills Will Be Changed

The Proposed Changes Are Focused On Reducing The Impact Of Passive Traits
Guild Wars 2

I have spent a lot of time personally in Guild Wars 2 and I spent most of my time in the WvW space I wasn’t one of the top players by even a stretch but it was certainly a fun way to pass the time (when met with proper resistance).

That being said I appreciate hearing that the developers at ArenaNet are planning to make changes. I am going to try and summarize the changes and adjustments in a few words below.

According to a forum post by Gaile Gray communications manager, the intentions behind the proposed changes are focused on reducing the impact of passive traits within PvP. The above changes are meant to increase build diversity and to reduce the effectiveness of offensive instant skills and traits.

The forum post then continues on by providing a line-by-line list of tweaks being considered by the ArenaNet team. The bulk of the changes currently affect the Warriors, Engineers, and Rangers classes. However, the skills and traits of every class are due for an adjustment. But putting them all into one forum post would have been a challenge!

Gaile Cray also stated that none of the class changes in the forum post are necessarily set in stone. “We’d like to get your thoughts and ideas on both our high-level goals and how we’re going about accomplishing them,” writes Gray. “While reviewing these changes, please consider them as a whole rather than focusing on individual classes.”

If you want to learn more about the topic or join in the discussion online in the forums.

What are your thoughts on the changes that are listed on the forums? Do you think they are necessary or do they go a step too far? Are you for or against the overall changes or do you think they are missing the real issue?
