Square Enix’s Nosgoth will be offering cash rewards for the top 100 players each month and the rewards can reach up to $1,000 in prizes.
Nosgoth is a fast-paced PvP arena style game that takes place in the Legacy of Kain universe. Players are able to play as vampires or humans and can fight in a 4v4 arena. The game entered closed beta last year but is now in an open beta stage.
In the next update, Nosgoth will add competitive leagues for its players ranging from the lowest rank, Bronze up to Eternal. Players who finish in each of the tiers can receive in-game rewards like chest keys, skins and more. If you are one of the top 100 players though you can receive a cash prize. The first season will begin in October and each season will last a month. If you obtain first place you will receive $1,000 while 100th place will receive $30. There is no exact breakdown avalable at this time. That being said there was a statement issued by Nosgoth.
“We’d like to thank the Nosgoth community for their continued support through the Alpha & Beta phases of Leagues and are really excited to be able to reward our most loyal and skillful players for their dedication, giving them something back for their efforts and commitment. We hope this is simply the beginning of Nosgoth as a rewarding competitive gaming experience, one which will continue to evolve as and how our community sees fit.” says Marketing & PR Manager Grant Tasker, Square Enix.
