While the latest Pixar movie is a bit of a way out a new short film Coco has arrived. Titled “Dante’s Lunch the video follows the Xolo dog Dante and his quest to find a bone. Since Coco is set in a magical, world this is not an ordinary bone.
The animated bone does not comply with Xolo and drives them on a wild chase as they go on their wacky and entertaining adventure.
Lee Unkrich the director of Coco told Yahoo Movies in an interview that Dante’s Lunch was produced early in the process of making Coco as a way to learn more about Dante and how he interacts with Xolo.
“The movie follows the story of a boy, Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez), who wants to be a musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). After a “mysterious chain of events,” Miguel gets pulled into the Land of the Dead where he goes on an adventure with a “charming trickster” named Hector (voice of Gael Garcia Bernal) to learn more about his family history.”
