Quantum Break is in development at Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment and was originally scheduled to be released this year, but in April Microsoft announced that they rolling it back until 2016.
Shannon Loftis stated the reasoning behind this delay.
“With so many games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP,”
Quantum Break is not going to just be a game as Microsoft has stated that there will be a live-action TV show based on the game.
Microsoft’s Gamescom briefing is slated for August 5, starting at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT.
