Kingsman Star Says That Sequel Is “Unconventional”

Kingsman: The Golden Globe

Kingsman sequel The Golden Circle will be rather unconventional according to actor Colin Firth. Its nature might have something to do with Firth’s character, Harry Hart, which he teased in an interview with Collider.

“It’s no secret that I’m involved, somewhere and somehow,” he explained. “From what I’ve been able to gather, it’s not going to feel like a conventional sequel. It’s going to be something that feels very much its own thing. I’m very optimistic about it.”

While Firth was teasing during the interview he did make it clear that he can’t release many details about how his character returns, however he did clear that some of the speculation around the internet is dead wrong.

“I want to keep the surprise alive a little longer. I think they’re going to be surprised again,” he said.

While it is likely to be a surprise to the viewing audience it’s also important to note that in doing so the hype will increase and if he waits too long it will cause the movie to be a let down like we see in many of our popular MMO’s (Star Wars The Old Republic).
The poster above does have a strong hint that Firth’s character would return for the sequel but in what form or manifestation we do not know. maybe it will be that Taron Egerton’s character “Eggsy” will take over and fill the spot that was left from Firth’s character.
The impressive supporting cast also includes Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry, Vinnie Jones, and Elton John.
The movie is set to hit theaters on June 16th, 2017.
