There are currently over 470 million gamers all across the world that are currently watching gaming content online on a regular basis. This accounts for over 50% of the gamers in North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific.
This study also found that videos are twice as effective as television advertising. 35% of gamers find new games on YouTube while 14% only manage to find new games via television advertising.
YouTube is still the champion when it comes to gaming videos and while Twitch is growing it only has a strong hold in Brazil and English speaking countries.
