Minecraft has evolved a lot in recent year and it all started back with basic skin modifications, and the ability to modify the colors of certain creatures. RedStone was all the rave and it was your only pseudo attempt of programming, or in-game automation.
However, with the integration of mods such as gregtech, ftb, and more the humble redstone appears to be more of a relic of a time long forgotten and seems so basic compared to that of what we have today. It shows both the evolution of the game, and the community as a whole and the fact it has come such a long way, from being bought by Microsoft, to being used in AR / VR tech Minecraft has come such a long way.
