Xbox announced today that Cristiano Ronaldo will be the face of FIFA 18′, an honor he has yet to receive, until now. The game will be released on September 29th on Xbox One.
FIFA 18’s Global Communications Manager, Michael Bernardi, stated his team travelled to Madrid in June to work with Cristiano Ronaldo. They put him in one of EA Sports motion capture suits and recorded Ronaldo’s every move. Users will be able to see the data come to life through Ronaldo’s acceleration, speed, shooting technique, and running style.
Last year, Xbox One released the Frostbite Engine in FIFA 17′. The team took it to another level and increased visual fidelity, and those improvements will be announced at EA Play on June 10th.
Xbox announced an exclusive FIFA 18′ Ronaldo Edition. This gives users pre-order offers, like a CR7 starter item in FUT, $60 in gold packs, and early access. Yes, that means you can play on September 26th!
Xbox did not stop with one exclusive addition. With the Icon addition, players can get the legendary Brazilian Ronaldo Nazario, for a 5-game FUT (FIFA Ultimate Match) loan. Icon Edition includes $120 worth of Jumbo Premium Gold FUT Packs and 3 days early access.
