Remember Bashiok the beloved community manager that used to work for Blizzard? He had posted his departure on the World Of Warcraft forums and told fans that he would keep them updated on what he did after he left Blizzard it now seems that he has taken a job at NCSoft.
After more than 10 years with Blizzard, a new quest has arrived for Bashiok and he seems to hold no regrets or sadness towards leaving the company that as he put it “has defined almost my entire adult life.” This only leads further suspicion that NCSoft had offered him a job before hand and that the forum post was just a ruse. There are a lot of questions swirling around now whether or not he left for his own reasons or whether he was persuaded to leave.
His final words make it even stranger.
“I’m looking forward to what’s next, and wishing you a life of joy, insatiable curiosity, and happy gaming.”
We congratulate Bashiok for landing his new job as Senior Content Manager at NCSoft and we can only hope the best for him and maybe we can see him on the plains of Azeroth once again.
