Can You Romance Multiple Companions In Fallout 4?

The ability to romance companions or NPC’s is one of the most talked about features in any modern RPG. This being said, one of the most difficult choices a player has to decide on after learning of such a feature is who to romance.

You see, Fallout 4 has companions of all shapes, sizes, and even species. This gives you a lot of freedom to select who to travel with or romance. However, Fallout 4 is different from many other RPG’s Bethesda allows you to romance as many of your companions as you would like.

However, there are some important notes regarding polyamorous relationships in Fallout 4.

#1. A companion will not dislike or hate that you romance another companion. There is essentially no repercussion for romancing all of your companions.

#2. Companions might make comments about being jealous or keeping an eye on you. There is no real downside and it’s simply playful dialogue.

#3. Don’t go attempting to romance NPC’s in the game in front of that current companion.

As for which companions you can romance I have them broken down below. Keep in mind this also includes all companions from the DLC and are marked as such.

  • Cait
  • Curie
  • Paladin Danse
  • John Hancock
  • MacCready
  • Piper
  • Preston Garvey
  • Porter Gauge (Nuka World DLC)

Essentially Fallout 4 allows you to romance any and all companions simultaneously and without repercussion. I hope this is a trend that games continue to follow as it allows the most flexibility without impacting users choice.
